DepthIQ is a computer vision technology that fuses 2D images to compute depth information. It is developed by Airy3D, a Montreal based computer vision company. The key advantage of DepthIQ is that it does not require any special depth sensing hardware. Instead, it relies on regular cameras. This technology is expected to enable applications such as drones, robotics, autonomous cars and gesture recognition. Recently, Airy3D announced it closed a series A round for $10M.
